The Global Shippers’ Alliance (GSA) and Asian Shippers’ Alliance (ASA) Annual Meeting 2025 in Bali, Indonesia. The members unanimously voted to approve and entrust Mr. Dhanakorn Kasetrsuwan, representing Thai National Shippers' Council (TNSC) to serve as the Chairman of ASA for the 2026-2027 term.
This mandate aims to drive collaboration among Asian member nations and coordinate efforts with GSA members worldwide.

The Council works to maintain a level playing field between shippers and service providers such as shipping lines air freight carriers, logistics service providers and freight forwarders. In addition, the Council is dedicated to develop better industry environments and enhance professionalism in the industry through training and promotion.
Hong Kong Shippers' Council was created in 1967 to serves and protect and promote the interests of Hong Kong exporters and importers, traders and manufacturers in matters relating to the transportation of merchandise by sea, land and air.

The Malaysian National Shippers’ Council (MNSC) was formed in 1972 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). It was established with the objective of safeguarding the interests of shippers in the country, ensuring the provision of efficient shipping, air, and rail services at fair rates.
The Sri Lanka Shippers' Council was established in March 1966 to protect and promote the interests of shippers by the local Committee of the Ceylon/Continental Conference, and a subsequent request made by the Director of Commerce, to the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The Sri Lanka Shippers' Council is the apex body that represents the interest of the shippers.
